3 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 (12-ounce) bottle of beer*
Optional Italian flavoring:
2 cloves garlic, crushed/minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
and/or
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon rosemary
The herbs and amounts are just a guideline; any herbs that you think might be
good would probably enhance the flavor.
*Also may use hard cider instead.
Mix all dry ingredients together, then add beer and mix until thoroughly blended. Pour into loaf pan and bake at 375 for approximately 45 minutes.
