I like to make this instead of apple pie.

3 lbs apples
sugar& cinnamon to taste
juice & rind of 1 lemon - optional
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar*
2 eggs
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/3 lb margarine, melted

Slice apples into 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and if desired, lemon.

In separate bowl, mix together flour, sugar, eggs and baking powder until crumbly. Place crumbs over apples and pour melted margarine over entire pan.

Bake 55 minutes at 350 in center of oven.

*May substitute Splenda for sugar.
